Our Psychologist
Bonny Bryen-B Psych (Hons) MAPS- Director of More to Life Psychology.
Bonny completed a Bachelor Psychology with Honours in 2001. She is registered with Australian Health Practitioner Board both as a Psychologist and a Supervisor for Provisionally Registered Psychologists and is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Bonny has 20 years’ experience gained in numerous setting including Rural and Remote Communities, Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation, Child and Youth Mental Health, Disability Services, Private Mental Health Hospital and Private Practice.
She has an interest in working with people who experience depression, anxiety, stress, grief, and those living with illness, injury, persistent pain, and disability.
Bonny utilises a range of interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectal Behavioural Therapy, and Positive Psychology approaches.
We endeavour to make accessing Psychology Services affordable to all.
Our standard 50 minutes consult is $150.00.
Our fee is significantly less than the Australian Psychological Societies recommended fee of $260.00.
Individuals may choose to access services either through referral from your GP or Psychiatrist under the Better Access Program (Mental Health Care Plan) or privately.
Mental health Care plans
Individuals who are referred under a Mental Health Care Plan are eligible for a rebate of $88.25, for up to 10 sessions per year. The out of pocket expense is $ $61.75
Bulk Billing is available for concession card holders.
Private Health funds
Private Health Care funds may offer rebates reducing the cost to the individual. It is advisable to check with your fund to determine your entitlements prior to your initial appointment. Unfortunately we are not able to process health fund rebates directly at time of payment. You will need to claim the rebate back from your Private Health fund.
Work cover
If you wish to be seen under a Workcover claim, please provide your claim numbers and the name and contact details of your case manager.
NDIS
More to Life Psychology is a registered provider with the NDIA and approved to provide supports listed under Assessment/Recommendation/Therapy supports services.
All participants (Agency/Plan/Self Managed) are required to attend an Initial Consultation after which a Service Agreement will be completed specifying supports to be provided, frequency, and total cost.
Home visits available in cases where client unable to attend.
Our NDIS Fee Schedule has been set based upon the NDIS Price Guide 2020-21 (effective 01 March 2021).
Our NDIS Prices are higher than our standard prices. This is cover additional work, reporting requirements and administrative cost associated with being an NDIS Provider.

Assessment fees cover the cost of the assessment appointment (approximately 1-2 hours) and report writing 1 ½ hours. Fees for the initial consultation appointment, feedback sessions and any follow-up appointments are the same as the standard appointment rate ($150.00).

Adaptive Behaviour Assessment Scale (ABAS-3): $60.00 per administration
Wechsler Memory Scale IV (WMS IV) $300.00
Letters
Brief Letter (one page): $90.00
Short Report (1-2 pages): $150.00
